Verizon YouthTech

Through inventiveness and their passionate commitment to change, today’s youth have thepower to transform their communities – and technology can be a valuable tool in these efforts. The Verizon YouthTech Contest seeks to honor young people with active involvement in using technology or innovative ideas for its use by preparing an essay in accordance with the program’s criteria, in one or more of the following categories:

Web Design
the web site should be designed to connect young people to one another, to information, or to resources and opportunities in new and innovative ways.

Community Service
the project should use technology to make the community a better place to live in and/or help people in need.

Career Explorations

the project should use technology to help young people find work, start small businesses, explore careers or otherwise make progress towards employment.
