We are delighted to announce that the Community Impact Training
Institute now offers easy online registration. You can access
the registration in several ways:
- Directly through www.uwsepa.org/training
- From the UW SEPA webpage, click on Community Impact Training
Institute on the first page and you will be linked to a page
where you can either download the full catalog or go directly
to the online registration page.
Check out the page and don’t forget that there are still
plenty of excellent Teaming 4 Technology training courses available
through the summer.
On Thursday, July 8th, T4T held an intern luncheon. Ten students
and graduates from the this region's community colleges and
tech schools, joined T4T's staff at United Way for lunch to
share their Information Technology experiences and network with
other T4T interns. For some students, their internship was their
first exposure to the IT field. This hands-on opportunity enabled
students to test their IT knowledge and build their resume.
Since their internships, a couple of previous interns have landed
additional IT jobs attributing their success to the T4T internship
program. For more information on how to offer a student a valuable
and rewarding opportunity, please contact Robin at robinb@uwsepa.org
or (215) 665-2570.
Use Hotkeys to Switch Programs
If you routinely use a specific set of programs, you can set
up hotkeys that will launch or directly switch among them instead
of cycling with Alt-Tab. Find a desktop or Start menu shortcut
that launches a program and select Properties. On the Shortcut
tab, click in the Shortcut key box, and press the key combination
you want to use. Be sure to choose key combinations that are
not needed by any of your programs; for example, use Alt-Shift-1,
Alt-Shift-2.
