Morgan's Leaving
It has been a pleasure to work with everyone.
"Get the Word Out" will reappear in December as a
new VISTA comes on
board to take my spot.

Free Conference Calling www.freeconference.com
provides free conference calling services
(the only charge is each individual caller's normal long distance
cost).
They aim to have a 1-800 access number available shortly for
a small fee,
but it will not be required.
I have heard several good things about this service on listservs.
The
service does not have a lot of extra features, but is solid
on the basics
and many organizations have saved money by using it. It is possible
to make
call reservations (ensures capacity) or spur of the moment.
Several individuals have been concerned about how they can stay
in business
offering a free service. On www.freeconferenc.com
, this is the response.
"In the future, we will add banner advertising and paid
enhancements to
the site, including toll-free access (estimated at 10 cents
per minute), web
collaboration, conference call recording, and audio archiving
of conference
calls, delivered in MP3 format. However, these paid enhancements
will be
optional. We will continue to offer this free service without
raising the
price or reducing any of the benefits or features that are currently
offered
on our Web site.
We have been in the telecommunications business, and continually
profitable,
for over seventeen years. So we won't be out of business in
six months."
