Tech Tip of the Week:
Problem # 1 How do you create an attachment for sending via
email?
Question:
I have my first (of many) dumb question. How do you create an
attachment for sending via email?
-Glenn
Answer:
First of all Glenn, the only dumb question is the one you didn't
ask. We all have to start somewhere, so just because a question
may seem simple or basic, it's not dumb! =)
To answer the question...
You can attach any file to an email. Say you worked up a spiffy
looking resume in Microsoft Word, and saved it in a file called:
c:\my documents\resume.doc
You want to email your resume to a company in Texas. To do this,
go into Outlook Express, hit the 'New Mail' button, enter the
email address, subject line and body of the message as usual.
Now click the "Attach" button (it looks like a paper
clip). Select the file "resume.doc" from "my
documents" and click "Attach". Send the message,
and voila! The company will get your resume.
If you're using Microsoft Outlook, Netscape or some other email
software, the process is very similar. Just look for the "attach"
button and select the file.
